Home-Start Spelthorne is very pleased to welcome to our team and introduce to you all Tori Biutanaseva our new Family Support Co-ordinator.
Hi! My name is Tori and I live in Shepperton with my husband Joe and our three daughters.
I first found out about Home-Start when my twins were babies and my eldest was a toddler. My husband was working overseas and things were very busy! I was blessed enough to meet Home-Start and have a volunteer who played with the girls freeing me to get some cleaning done. I experienced first hand the difference that Home-Start can make, so I am very excited to join the team here at Spelthorne.
I originally trained as a Primary School teacher and taught for three years in inner city London before training to be a Youth Worker. I then worked at Feltham Young Offenders Institute for a mentoring charity matching volunteers to young men who had applied to have a mentor. I then went on to work in the Chaplaincy as a Prison Chaplain in Feltham until I had the twins and gave up work to look after the girls.
I have always had a passion for enabling and empowering other people to overcome difficulties and reach their full potential. I feel very blessed to now work for Home-Start Spelthorne, a charity who is committed to empowering, enabling and supporting both families and volunteers in the community where I live, in order to give children the best start in life.
