As you can see from the above statistics, it has been another busy year for Home-Start Spelthorne. Families have received emotional and practical support from our wonderful team of home-visiting volunteers. A number of referrals have also been received from other health professionals, Sure-Start Children’s Centres, schools, nursery nurses, social care and parents themselves.
Our Chairperson, Beth Scott, and Treasurer, Anne Damerell, have had a particularly busy year attending monthly meetings at Home-Start Surrey to discuss and monitor the contract with Surrey County Council. Each scheme provides data and case studies as evidence of the work we do and the impact we have on families as part of the Early Help strategy. The eight Surrey schemes have also been working together on funding, promotion and advertising.
